Barbara and Bob Verhey
Barbara Verhey came to Hilton Head seven years ago from San Francisco via Alexandria, VA. She retired from British Airways where she held various airport management jobs in London, JFK, SFO, PIT, BWI and Dulles. “Customer service was my focus for thirty years, and I bring those skills and love of people to RE/MAX Island Realty”, Barbara promises.
“I’ve been so fortunate to have traveled the world, and picked Hilton Head as my home for its natural beauty, tranquility, access to all outdoors enjoyment and its people”, says Barbara.
Since her arrival on HHI, Barbara has been active in Literacy Volunteers, Habitat for Humanity and St. Luke’s Church. She is proud to be a recent graduate of the 2008 HH/Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class.
Bob’s career spanned many fields: corporate management, strategy and finance; entrepreneurship in health care and technology; coaching; education and now real estate.
Bob’s outstanding credentials, supported by his strategic accuracy, build confidence in clients who are looking for interpretation of data and trends in the real estate industry.
After researching a particular market, Bob has a knack for establishing target selling prices that come within 5% of the final sales price. This is invaluable when first deciding whether or not to sell a property, and again during contract negotiations.
Both are well educated, Bob with a BA in economics from Duke University and an MBA from Dartmouth, and Barbara witha BA in Elementary Education at Molloy College in Rockville centre, NY and her MBA at St. Mary's College of California in Moraho, CA.
